MILLBURY – Darlene M. (Sirard) Russell, 56, died Sunday, Dec. 28th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
She is survived by her husband, Marshall A. Russell Jr.; her son, Mark Berthiume, of Millbury; her daughter, Katrina LaRue, of Millbury; her father, Lucien "Sonny" Sirard and his wife, Mary-Ann of Millbury; her sisters, Doreen Ward of Hudson, Christina Tokus of Auburn, Robin Coppoletti of Worcester, and Michelle Sands of Spencer. She was predeceased by her mother, Joan L. (Charette) Sirard.
Darlene would give the shirt off her back for anyone, even a complete stranger!
She has always been drawn to careers that involved helping and caring for others!
She was a PCA for the last 15 years and she was very passionate about it. She was also an active member in her community, having worked as a Millbury school lunch lady and cross guard. Before becoming a PCA full time she had her own cleaning company for 20+ years. She loved to cook and be with family and friends. She loved having big family dinners, the beach, swimming and tanning every summer. She loved to be outdoors tending to her massive gardens. She absolutely loved to help people and to see them smile and be happy and comfortable in life! Her heart was as big as her beautiful smile and will be remembered always!
Her funeral will be held Friday, Jan.2nd from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Assumption, 10 Waters St. in Millbury. Calling hours are 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1st in the funeral home. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury.
