David Bengtson

*David's funeral service has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Millbury.  Masks are required in the church.

MILLBURY- David Andrew Bengtson, 44, passed away peacefully Monday morning December 13,2021 after battling a long-time illness.

David leaves behind a wife of 19 years, Mary L. (Meier) Bengtson and two children, Destiny Marie and son Aragorn James.  He is predeceased by his mother Jeanne (Coonan) Yuknavich.  David also leaves behind his father David R. Bengtson, his wife Lisa; his siblings, Elizabeth and Andrew Bengtson.  Also left behind is David’s stepfather David Yuknavich and his children Brickie (Yuknavich) Merz and Brett Yuknavich; many aunts, uncles and cousins. David also leaves behind his best friend, Justin W. Orstrum, whom he cherished his friendship just as much as he did his family.

David grew up following in his family’s footsteps starting with being on Millbury High School Super Bowl team, to going into the family construction business.  David was a passionate Stonemason and learned from his dad how to place the rocks so that the wall came out perfect.  He loved going to work every day and was a master in his trade.

David loved reading to his wife to sleep every night along with a good game of Pitch on the weekends.  Most of all he loved spending time with his children and family. David loved being outdoors, teaching his kids how to cook and cross stitch.  When he wasn’t reading, cooking or teaching, you could find David relaxing and having a smoke after dinner.  David touched everyone’s heart that he ever met and will be missed dearly.
