SUTTON David M. Love, 66, of 54 Dodge Hill Road, died Friday, May 6th in his home, after an illness.
He leaves his wife, Elaine R. (Griswold) Love; a daughter, Stephanie R. wife of Keith Langevin of Dudley; a son Robert A. and his wife, Teresa Love of Bloomfield, Ct.; two sisters, Carolyn Gancarz of Auburn and Eleanor Marchi of Melrose; nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by a brother, Robert W. Love and a sister, Barbara Love. He was born in Worcester, son of Andrew W. and Helen (Symmes) Love.
Mr. Love was a tool buyer at Morgan Construction in Worcester, before he retired. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Sutton, the Franklin Lodge A.F. & A.M. and the Stella Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #3 in Auburn. His was a former Boy Scout leader of troop 143, in Sutton. He was a former member of the National Guard, 181st infantry division. His hobbies were coin collecting, scout stamp collecting, antiques, especially Wallace Nutting pictures and traveling.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10th in the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Road, on the common, Sutton. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery, Sutton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 9th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Rt. 122A, Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Care Network Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608 or to the First Congregational Church, Deacon John Marble Fund, 307 Boston Road, Sutton, MA 01590.
