SUTTON David W. Mong, 35, of 19 & ½ West Sutton Rd., died Saturday, Aug. 20th as a result of an accident on Lake Singletary, in Sutton.
He is survived by his father, Wayne P. Mong, a brother, Stephen M. Mong and a sister, Suzanne M. Mong all of Sutton; his maternal-grandmother, Regina M. (Bialobrzski) Army of Worcester as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends that cared deeply for him. His mother, Carole P. (Army) Mong predeceased him in December 2004.
David was born in Worcester and moved to Sutton 27 years ago. In 1996 he moved to Lake Singletary. He enjoyed boating, jet skiing, spending time with family and friends, and his dog Ice. David was an avid sports fan. He coached Holy Name High School freshman football and was a huge fan of the Florida State Seminoles as well as the Sox and the Patriots.
David was a graduate of Holy Name High School. He played football throughout his high school years. He graduated from Worcester State College with a degree in business and worked as a sales representative for Atlas Distributors in Auburn for 11 years.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26th in St. MarkTM)s Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery. There are no calling hours. For those wishing to pay respects to the family, they will be available at a reception following the graveside ceremony. Please omit flowers, memorial contributions in honor of David may be made in memory of his mother to the UMASS Memorial Foundation, Attn: Levine Center Donation, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 06613, or to David Mong Memorial Fund-Lake Singletary Watershed Assoc. or to Holy Name Central Catholic High School.
