MILLBURY - David W. L. Saucier, 68, of 19 Martin St., died Tuesday, July 10, at St. Vincent Hospital at the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Marion C. (Ferraro) Saucier; a son, David M. Saucier of Worcester; three daughters, Regina M. Schopper of North Carolina, Paula J. Saucier of Southbridge and Mary J. Saucier of Seattle, Washington; a brother, Robert Saucier of Spencer; two sisters, Joan Saucier of Spencer and Cecelia Sullivan of Auburn; three grandchildren; a step-grandson; nephews and nieces. He was born in Spencer, son of David H. and Evelyn D. (St.Germain) Saucier and lived in Worcester many years before moving to Millbury in 1989.
Mr. Saucier was a material handler at Wyman-Gordon Co. in Grafton for 37 years, retiring in 1996. He then worked part time at McCarty Bus Co. in Millbury. He was a Navy veteran during the Korean War.
He was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church, the South Works Veterans of Foreign Post and the Vernon Hill American Legion Post both in Worcester and a member of the Wyman-Gordon Gung-ho Club.
The funeral Friday, July 13, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be in Central Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday July 12, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boston Childrens Hospital, Attn: Miss Alex Bregnan, P.O. Box 431, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, Ma. 02115.
