David H. Watkins, 100, died Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the Beaumont Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Northbridge.
His wife of 72 years, Edith L. (Murray) Watkins died in 2012. He leaves a son, Robert Watkins and his wife, Colleen; a daughter, Linda Taft; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Fairbanks of West Millbury; nieces and nephew. He is predeceased by his parents, Fred A. and Helen (Hanson) Watkins a brother, Howard Watkins and a sister, Faith Clark.
He was a member of the Millbury Baptist Church.
David's funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with the Rev. Clifford Barlow officiating.
A calling hour will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral service, in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salmon Hospice Care, 85 Beaumont Dr., P.O. Box 940, Northbridge, MA 01534.
