PUTNAM, CT – Debra L. Dulmaine-Coonan, 60, formerly of Millbury, passed in her loving husband’s arms after a long courageous battle with scleroderma.
Debra leaves her husband of 30 years, Thomas E. Coonan; her beloved daughter, Kathryn L. Dulmaine of Hopkinton; her much loved stepson, Michael T. Coonan of Millbury; her sisters, Andrea LeBeau of Port Richie, FL and Beverly Cochran and her husband, David of Grafton; her mother-in-law, Rita Coonan of Grafton; her many Coonan in-laws and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Andre and Alice (Caron) Dulmaine and her brother, Gary Dulmaine.
Debbie was a kind and caring person with a strong work ethic. She worked for many years at UMASS Medical Campus, completing her career in the campus library. She had a lifelong love of learning. Debbie graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree. She loved flowers and always surrounded herself with beautiful gardens. Debbie was an artist, who created award winning masterpieces in needle point, and enjoyed quilting and photography. In every aspect of her life she gathered friends close to her and those friendships lasted a lifetime. She will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends will honor and remember Debra’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Sunday, July 15th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 16th at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 17 Waterville Street, North Grafton. Burial will be private.
