MILLBURY - Delia R. (Charpentier) Smith, 87, of 14 Grove St., died Saturday, Feb. 9, in Providence House Nursing Home of Millbury.
Her husband, Edward L. 'Red' Smith died in 1986. She leaves cousins. Her five year old daughter, Leah, died in 1951. She was born in Millbury, daughter of Ovide and Rosilda (Desorcy) Charpentier and has lived here all her life. Mrs. Smith attended Millbury Schools.
Mrs. Smith worked at Millbury Machine Company before she retired in 1971. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
The funeral will be held Feb. 12, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 14 Waters St. Burial will be in Central Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 16 Waters St., Millbury, Ma. 01527.
