Delima Carney

April 6, 1948 — March 2, 2010

MILLBURY – Delima M. Carney, 61, of Millbury died suddenly at her home on March 2nd.

She leaves her husband, James P. Carney and a son, Jason A. Carney of Millbury, her parents, Francois and Marguerite (Barrieau) Vautour of Gardner, three sisters: Ginette Vautour of Athol, Simone Cutler of Saco, ME and Odette Vautour of Ashburnham, three brothers: Ivan Vautour of Gardner, George Vautour of Litchfield, NH and Alphonse Vautour of Baldwinville, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, both in Canada and the U.S.

Del was born in New Brunswick, Canada and moved to Gardner in 1961, where she lived until moving to Millbury in 1976. She graduated from Gardner High School and attended Mount Wachusett Community College.

She was an active member of the Women's Club for many years and volunteered in the Millbury School system.

Del's funeral will be held Saturday, March 6 with a mass at 10 a.m. at St. Brigid's Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Memorial contributions may be made to Friendly House, Inc., 36 Wall St., Worcester, MA 01604 or to the charity of your choice.
