MILLBURY - Dewey A. Bouvier, 84 of 1 May St., died Sunday, May 4 in his home, after an illness of congestive heart failure.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Helen T. (Dooley) Bouvier; two daughters, Ann Bouvier Achorn of Sutton and Maureen Ann Gibson of Millbury; a brother, Norman Bouvier of Worcester; three grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A brother, Harry Bouvier of Worcester, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Leo and Sarah (Aucoin) Bouvier and has lived in Millbury for 41 years. He graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester.
Mr. Bouvier was a metallurgist at the former Massachusetts Steel Treating in Worcester, retiring in 1985. He previously worked at the former American Steel and Wire Company in Worcester. He was an Army veteran during WW II, serving in the European Africian Middle Easter Theater. He was in the battle at Normandy in France and received five service Bronze Stars.
He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the Steel Workers Union, both in Worcester. He was a former member of the Millbury Golden Age.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 7, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., (
