Dolores Lavoie

Dolores C. (Martinez) Lavoie, 61 died Tuesday, May 2nd in her home after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 45 years, Denis C. Lavoie; a daughter, Jennifer D. Remuck and her husband, Scott of Millbury; two grandchildren, Jack and Samantha Remuck of Millbury; a sister, Nancy Magaw of Worcester; a niece, Samantha Magaw of Oxford. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Louis and Constance (Fortin) Martinez.

Dolores worked in the abrasive industry at Bay State Abrasive in Westboro and Saint Gobain in Worcester for over 40 years. She enjoyed playing golf, camping in the White Mountains and outings with her golf friends and her grandchildren. The family would like to thank St. Vincent Cancer Unit, Wellness Center and Beacon Hospice for their compassion and care.

Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 4th at Mulhane Home for Funerals 45 N. Main St. in Millbury. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday May 5th at St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury.
