MILLBURY Donald W. Blare, 69, of 89 West Main St., died Thursday, Jan. 1st in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his close companion, Patricia Novak of Millbury; four children, Michael W. Blare of Worcester, Timothy J. Blare of Sutton, Donna M. Russo, Lynn A. Thurlow and the mother of his children, Patricia M. (McManus) Blare all of Millbury; two brothers, Robert H.. Blare of Blacksville, W.V. and Gary W. Blare of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister, Suzanne White of Myrtle Beach S.C.; seven grandchildren. He was born in West Virginia, son of Carlton and Helen (MacDonald) Blare and has lived in Millbury since 1957.
Mr. Blare was a machinist by trade for many area companies and most recently worked at IBA Inc. in Millbury. He was a Navy veteran during the Korean War.
He was a life member of the Charles F. Minney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, the Auburn Ten Pin and a member of the Master Table in Charlton.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan.6th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. Burial will be in Central Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5th, in the funeral home.
