Donald I. Chouinard, 66, of Ft. Pierce, FL, died Wednesday, August 22nd in the UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He was previously a long time resident of Sutton.
Don was born in Fitchburg to the late Raymond and Leona (Gonyea) Chouinard. He graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer and worked for 30 years at General Motor's retiring in 1999. His passion was classic car shows and showing off his 1957 Chevy. Most of all Don loved his sons and was ecstatic over his grandchildren, Emma, Haley, Livia and Liam.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janice M. (Donovan) Chouinard of Fort Pierce, FL; two sons, Brian and his wife, Cheryl of Worcester and Matthew and his wife, Vivan of Beachwood, NJ; five brothers, Richard, Roger, Bruce, Gary and Paul; a sister, Fran Luban; several nieces and nephews.
Don's calling hours will be held today Friday, August 24th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. His funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. immediately following the calling hours in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
