Donald A. Jalbert

MILLBURY – Donald A. Jalbert, 73, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 1, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Donald leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Janet L. Jalbert; his daughter Kristin L. Smith of Danvers and her two children, Cameron and Aidan; his daughter Shannon A. Tremblay and her spouse Mark of Sturbridge and their four children, Frank, Carter, Nicholas, and T.J.; and his son Jason R. Jalbert of Winchendon. He is also survived by five of his siblings: Raymond Jalbert, Jeannelle Corbin, Charlene Hollins, Doreen Butler, and Christine Jalbert. He is predeceased by his parents Leon and Jeanne Jalbert and a brother Richard Jalbert.

Don graduated from Salem High School and attended the University of New Haven and the Culinary Institute of America. He worked many jobs ranging from Executive Chef to the Director of Food Services. He truly loved being around people so after retirement, Don volunteered as a driver for the Friends of the Millbury Seniors. 

Don will be remembered for his kindness, generous nature, infectious smile, and his unwavering love and support for his family and friends. He had a quick wit and amazing sense of humor. He cared deeply and gave whole-heartedly when it came to the people around him. Don made an impact on so many lives and will be missed dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00pm at Mulhane Home for Funerals located at 45 N Main Street in Millbury.
