MILLBURY – Donald F. Leary, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30th surrounded by loving family.
Donald leaves his sons, Daniel P. Leary of East Brookfield and Dennis Leary and his wife Nancy of Millbury; four grandsons, Joshua, Jason, Michael and Cal, as well as five great grandchildren. Donald was predeceased by his wife, Louise E. (Russell) Leary and a son, Donald P. Leary.
Donald graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School, where he studied for his trade as an electrician. He entered the Marine Corp in 1952. He served a year in Korea and then was an instructor at Camp Lejeune. After leaving the military, Donald worked as a licensed electrician until his retirement. Donald enjoyed gardening both big vegetable gardens and flowers to share with others.
Family and Friends will honor and remember Donald’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Sunday, July 7th from 3 to 5 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
His funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, July 8th at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Brigid Cemetery, Millbury.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
