MILLBURY – Donna M. (Lagerholm) Evans, 63, died Sunday, December 25, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family after an illness.
Donna leaves her husband, Robert E. Evans; three daughters, Heather Evans, Lisa Virgilio and Karen Weatherbee all of Millbury; her mother, Lena (Dion) Lagerholm of Millbury; a brother, Richard Lagerholm and his wife, Susan of Millbury; a sister Janet Hagstrom and her husband, Paul of Charlton; five grandchildren, Kailey, Ryan, Matthew, Callie and Baby John; many nieces and nephews. Donna was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her father, Richard F. Lagerholm.
She graduated from Millbury High School and worked as a custodian at the Elmwood Street School for many years. Donna brightened up the day of the children and faculty with her smile and witty sense of humor. She enjoyed antique hunting with her husband Bob, collecting dolls and was an avid fan of Shirley Temple. Most of all Donna enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren at the family home on Burbank Hill.
Donna's calling hours will held Thursday, Dec. 29th from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. A funeral service will be held immediately following the calling hours at 7 p.m... Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Millbury, 148 West Main Street, Millbury, MA 01527.
