She was also an active volunteer for the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America.
She is survived by her husband John; her children, Katie Hardy, Kimberly, Joseph, and Rhianyn; granddaughters Molly Hardy and Bridget Hardy, both of Arlington, Texas; siblings Carol LaRose of Auburn; Michael (and Pam) Graves, and Holly (and John) Huntoon, of Millbury; Timmy (and Sandy) Graves, of Lincoln, Rhode Island; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris (Capistron) and Edward Piasta, of Millbury; her grandmother Margaret (Gibson) Capistron; her brother Teddy and sister-in-law Cheryl Piasta, of Millbury; her sister Kathleen Thomas, of Oxford; and brother-in-law David LaRose, of Auburn.
