MILLBURY– Doris G. Ducharme, a resident of Millbury for over 50 years, passed away peacefully at 83 after a brief illness, on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Overlook in Charlton, MA.
Doris was the daughter of George and Albertine (Bibeau) Gaumond and was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald P. Ducharme. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Aurelio and her husband Michael Aurelio of Millbury; grandchildren, Paige Tarasiak and Ryan Tarasiak. She is also predeceased by her brother, Roland Gaumond and sister, Lucille Allain.
Doris, also known as “Mimi Dot” to many, grew up in the “Grafton Hill” section of Worcester and attended Catholic Schools in Worcester. She worked for many years at both Weagle Bus Company and Pleasant Valley Country Club. Being with family was the most important to her, especially spending time and making cherished memories with her grandchildren. When they were younger and played various sports, she was their biggest fan and attended every game. Doris also enjoyed shopping, listening to music and having coffee and dinner with friends.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone at Overlook, especially the staff on the Stonebrook Unit, 3rd Floor SNF, and the Hospice staff. They all went above and beyond to care for, encourage, laugh and simply be a friend to my mom. She was truly grateful for each of you and you all made her feel comforted in her final days.
Doris’ faith was a very important part of her life and she was a faithful parishioner of St. Brigid’s Church.
Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Doris’ life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, Dec. 9th from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 10th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury. Everyone attending the Mass is asked to go directly to the church.
