Doris Russell

MILLBURY – Doris R. (James) Russell, 87, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 10th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center.

Doris is predeceased by her husband, Roland R. Russell, a daughter, Jo-Ann M. Boyd and two grandchildren, Danielle Turner and Michael Boyd, Jr. She leaves seven children, Paul Russell of Auburn, Diana Coggans of Millbury, John and Edward Russell of Charlton, Kevin Russell of Dudley, Donna Turner of Florida and Roger Russell of Millbury; nineteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Cooke, Yvonne Malloy and Elaine Deeter; many nieces and nephews.

Doris was born in Millbury to Wilfred and Clara (Giraux) James.  She worked at Astra Pharmaceutical for over 30 years and enjoyed playing bingo with friends.

Doris’ family and friends will honor and remember her life with a time of visitation on Wednesday, March 17th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 18th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury.  Burial will follow at Central Cemetery.
