Dorothy L. (Johnson) Kupcinskas, 90, died Monday, September 23, 2013 in Knollwood Nursing Center in West Boylston.
Her husband, Joseph V. Kupcinskas died in 2001. She leaves a son, Mark J. Kupcinskas and his wife, Mary Ellen of Douglas; a grandson, Mark J. Kupcinskas, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; three granddaughters, Kayla M. Kupcinskas of Nashua, NH, Laurie E. Phillips of Cranston, RI and Rachel T. Phillips of Douglas. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Edith (Ohlin) Johnson.
Dorothy graduated from the former Commerce High School and Fairchild Office School. She moved to Millbury 64 years ago. Dorothy worked for various manufacturing companies in the area as a secretary and then worked in the Millbury School Department as a secretary at Elmwood Street School, retiring after 23 years. She enjoyed traveling and as her eye sight failed she appreciated her books on tape and traveling to Summit Eldercare. Dorothy loved visits from friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Dorothy's funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 27th at 10 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury. Burial will follow the service in Central Cemetery in Millbury.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26th from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Summit Eldercare Activities Fund, 1369 Grafton Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
