MILLBURY – Dorothy M. (Belanger) Manning, 100, passed away peacefully on Dec. 28th.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Lucier of Auburn and her son, Ronald White and his wife, Janice of Millbury with who she lived. She also leaves six grandchildren, Scott Lucier, Jay Lucier, Jeffrey White, Edmond White, Brittany Graf and Matthew Davis; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her first husband, Edmond White, second husband, Kenneth Manning and a daughter, Linda Davis.
Dorothy was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur and Gertrude Belanger, and graduated from the former Commerce High School in 1942. She was a long-time parishioner of St. Brigid Parish in Millbury. Dorothy worked for 15 years at the Fair department store. She enjoyed vacationing at Cape Cod, trips to Hawaii, playing games, cards but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her family would like to thank the staff of both Summit Elder Care and St. Mary’s Healthcare Center for their kindness and Ascend Hospice for their tender and thoughtful care.
Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Dorothy’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Thursday, Jan. 2nd from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury with her Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
