WORCESTER – D. Michael Bell, 59, died Sunday, Feb. 13th in his home, after a long illness.
He leaves a sister, Susan B. Smith and her husband Thomas of Philadelphia, PA; a niece Jennifer W. Smith of Philadelphia; a nephew Andrew D. Smith of Cleveland, Ohio. Mike was born in Canada and was raised in Baltimore and is predeceased by his parents, Douglas C. and Margaret A. (Stolnacke) Bell. He was a graduate of Towson State University in Maryland.
Mike's career was in retail, and for the last 13 years he was employed by Office Max in Leominster. He was an accomplished amateur photographer and a jazz aficionado. He most enjoyed his summers on Ramshorn Pond with his family, his Stolnacke cousins and close friends.
His memorial calling hours are 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. A private memorial service is planned for early summer, and burial will be private at the convenience of the family in All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester County Food Bank, 464 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
