Earl Lagerholm

February 8, 1928 — October 10, 2008

MILLBURY – Earl E. Lagerholm Sr., 80, formerly of 95 Elm St. and Burbank St., died peacefully Thursday, Oct. 9th in the Life Care Center of Auburn, after a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 55 years, Shirley I. (McKeown) Lagerholm; a son, Earl E. Lagerholm, Jr. of North Berwick, ME; a daughter, Nancy A. wife of Dennis Mulhane, Jr. of Sutton; two grandsons, Nicholas T. Mulhane of Sutton and Brandon E. Lagerholm of North Berwick, ME; brother and sister-in-laws, James McKeown and his wife, Dorothy of St. Cloud, FL and Douglas McKeown and his wife, Denise of Shapleigh, ME, Lena Lagerholm and Julie McKeown both of Millbury and Cecile Shaffer and her husband Frederick of Solon, ME; nephews and nieces. A life long resident of Millbury, Earl was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Richard A. and Ruth H. (Fuller) Lagerholm and a brother, Richard F. Lagerholm.

Mr. Lagerholm worked for Airco Welding Supply, now North East Welding Supply in Auburn for 41 years, retiring in 1993. He was a Medical Technician in the U.S. Army during WW II serving in Japan. He graduated from Millbury High School and was a member of the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post in Sutton, the Charles F. Minney VFW Post in Millbury and the M & M Squares of Webster. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and traveling around New England in his trailer.

His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to his funeral service, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Resident Activity Fund of the Life Care Center of Auburn, 14 Masonic Circle, Auburn, MA 01501.
