MILLBURY – Edith M. "Babe" (Pluff) Lebel, 71, died Friday, Oct. 9th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after being stricken ill at home.
She leaves her sister, Norenne B. Mooskian of Millbury; two nephews, Gary P. Mooskian of Millbury and Clyde H. Mooskian of Uxbridge; a great nephew, Matthew Mooskian; two great nieces, Melissa and Megan Mooskian; a great great nephew, Bryce M. Wheeler. She is predeceased by her husband, Roland L. Lebel and her parents, Edward R. and Bertha (Hebert) Pluff. She was born in Milford and lived in Upton and Grafton, before moving to Millbury in 1988. She graduated from Grafton High School in 1956.
Babe was a secretary at the Mendon-Upton Regional School, before she retired. She was a life member of the Auxiliary of the Charles F. Minney VFW Post in Millbury, a former Captain of the District #8 Color Guard and life member of the Harley Owners Group. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golf and crossword puzzles.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Oct. 14th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, 89 Main St. in South Grafton. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13th in the funeral home.
