Edward Chrobak

October 13, 1916 — March 31, 2006

SUTTON Edward A. Chrobak, 89, recently of Sewell, NJ, formerly of Sutton, MA, where he lived most of his life, died Friday, March 31st in Sewell, New Jersey.

He leaves two sisters, Frances Murphy of Auburn, currently residing in Sewell, NJ and Mary wife of John Giro of North Kingston, RI; a brother, Steven and his wife, Sally Chrobak of Spencer; a sister-in-law, Ellen Chrobak of Auburn; a brother-in-law, Vincent Siminiski of Worcester; seven nieces; three nephews; seven grand nieces, six grand nephews and one great-grand nephew. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, George K. and Anna (Kubicki) Chrobak, three brothers, Karroll, George and Albert Chrobak and a sister, Adele Siminiski. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School as a sheet metal worker.

Mr. Chrobak was a sheet metal worker at Norton Company in Worcester for many years, before he retired in 1976. He was Army veteran during WW II with the 36th Infantry Division of the 142D Infantry Regiment, serving in southern France, the Rineland and Central Europe. He received the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Bronze Star Metal. He was a member of St. MarkTM)s Church, the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post 414 and the Norton Bowling League.

His funeral will be held Thursday, April 6th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. MarkTM)s Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 5th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association 330 Congress Street Boston, MA 02210.
