MILLBURY– Edward P. Cournoyer, 54, a life-long resident of Millbury, died Saturday, December 15, 2012 in St. Vincent Hospital, after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife, Michele F. (Prendiville) Cournoyer: three children, Brian T. Warner, Nicole L. Richford and Cheryl A. Bond and her husband, Matthew all of Millbury; two grandchildren, Cameron Knight and Ethan King; three brothers, Thomas Cournoyer of Leicester, Ronald Cournoyer and his wife, Sandra of Sutton and Paul Cournoyer and his wife, Sandra of Webster; a sister, Paula Ogle of Worcester, nephews and nieces, and many family and friends. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Doris (LaFrancois) Cournoyer.
Edward was a traffic controller at IBA Company in Millbury for 36 years. He was an avid sportsman and was a referee for Pee Wee Basketball in Millbury, for over 25 years and his two favorite vacations spots were Hampton Beach and the White Mountains.
His funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 20th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19th in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
