MILLBURY - Edward G. Granger Jr., 59, of 65 Canal Street, Millbury, passed away at his home, after being stricken ill.
His wife, Marcia M. (Mucci) Granger passed away in March. He leaves his proud two daughters, Kelly Granger Smith of Rutland, Ma and Erin Granger of St. Louis, Missouri and son-in-law, Marc Smith. He also leaves his three stepchildren, Charles Marsland of Sudbury, Lisa Noel of Sutton and Stefan Marsland of Tampa, Florida and their families.
He is survived by his mother Barbara Granger of Worcester. He was the loved son of the late Edward Granger Sr. who passed away in 1989 and brother David Granger who passed away in 1996. He is survived by his siblings Francis Granger, Ann Marie Spellane, Susan Harrington, John J. Granger, Paul Granger and James Granger and their families including, 25 nieces and nephews.
He was loved by his three grandchildren Casey Noel, Ashley Noel and Alexandra Smith.
Mr. Granger was a contractor. He worked alongside his family for Granger Brothers Construction from 1961 until 1996. He remained in the construction industry ending his career with T.L.T. Construction.
Mr. Granger was an avid sports fan and greatly enjoyed the recent success of the Patriots and Red Sox.
EdwardTM)s funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 17th, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury, Calling hours are from noon to 2 p.m., prior to the funeral service.
