MILLBURY – Edward A. Kupstas, 89, died Wednesday, Sept. 21st in his home.
His wife, Hazel A. (Conway) Kupstas, died last year. He leaves two sons, Martin E. Kupstas of Dudley and Richard W. Kupstas of Texas; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Shehandoah, PA and is predeceased by his parents, Martin and Mary (Kushlys) Kupstas, a great grandson, two sisters and a brother.
Mr. Kupstas worked for many years at Reed & Prince in Worcester and also served as a union president. He was an Army veteran serving as a medic during WW II, in the European Theater. He was an avid fisherman and wood worker.
His funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 24th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23rd in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of his great grandson, Michael Kupstas, may be made to the Kennedy-Donovan Center, 485 Worcester St. Southbridge, MA 01550 or to the UMASS Memorial Pediatric ICU, 55 Lake Ave, North, Worcester, MA 01655.
