Edward T. "Ted" Piasta, 62, died Sunday, Jan.19th at his home, after being stricken ill. He was an organ donor.
He leaves his wife, Cheryl A. (Sarnblad) Piasta; a daughter, Shayne B. Piasta of Ohio; a son, Kene N. Piasta of Colorado; two sisters, Carol LaRose of Auburn and Donna LeChasseur of Worcester; and the family members with whom he was raised, Mike Graves, Holly Huntoon and Tim Graves as well as Kathleen Thomas, who is now deceased. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Edward T. and Doris (Capistron) Piasta.
Ted was a welder for over 30 years for New England Power Service Company, (now Dominion). He was a former member of the Massachusetts National Guard. He was a proud supporter of his home town and volunteered for many Millbury projects, including the lighting of the high school football field and the recent renovation of Woolie World. He enjoyed his many hobbies such as bee keeping, hunting, camping, raising dogs and being the family handyman. He was an avid Patriots fan and loved socializing with friends, family and especially his former co-workers.
Ted's calling hours will be held, Wednesday Jan. 22nd from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury.
A Eulogy will be held immediately following the calling hours at 7 p.m. in the funeral home, followed by a reception at the VFW Hall, South Main St. in Millbury .
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Millbury charity, such as Dollars for Scholars or the Millbury Historical Society.
