SUTTON - Edward H. Santon Jr., 55, of 43 Lincoln Road, formerly of Millbury, died Wednesday, May 15, in St. Vincent Hospital, at the Worcester Medical Center, after a motor cycle accident in Auburn.
He leaves his wife Debra A. (Stratford) Stone Santon; a son Edward H. Santon III of Millbury; a daughter, Lori A. Santon of Worcester; two step-sons, Paul S. Stone and Michael P. Stone both of Sutton; a brother, Ronald J. Santon of Millbury; two sisters, Ellen C. Cote of Millbury and Barbara A. Anusauskas of Worcester; two grandsons; nephews and nieces; aunts and uncles and cousins. He was born in Worcester, son of Edward H. Santon Sr. and Margaret C. (Hanlon) Santon. He graduated from Millbury Memorial High School in 1965 and then received an Associates Degree at Quinsigmond Community College in Worcester.
Mr. Santon was a patrolman with the Millbury Police Department where he had worked for 28 years, and was to retire in July. He was a Marine Veteran from 1966 to 1969, serving in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.
He was former Vice President of the Millbury Police Assoc., a member of the
Massachusetts COP and member of the Vietnam Veterans of Central Mass. Chapter #554. He was also a member of the Wild Pigs Motorcycle Club and the Band of Brothers Motorcycle Club.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 19, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., (
