MILLBURY Edward A. Szkutak, 78, of 27 Upton St., died Monday, Jan. 24th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Mary J. (Wilczynski) Szkutak; a daughter, Deborah S. and son-in-law Peter F. Kasarjian of Plymouth; three sons, David E. and daughter-in-law Joan B. Szkutak of Cincinnati, Edward A. Szkutak Jr. and daughter-in-law Karla T. of Georgetown and Thomas J. and daughter-in-law Pamela B. Szkutak of Bellevue, Washington; six grandchildren, a grandson, Brian P. Kasarjian of Plymouth, five granddaughters, Katherine A. Kasarjian of Plymouth, Emma J. and Rebecca A. Szkutak of Georgetown, Amanda K. and Abigail R. Szkutak of Bellevue, Washington; two sisters, Mary B. Hulboj of Webster and Emily M. Misiaszek of Dudley; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Josephine Yurick and four brothers, Anthony, Albert, Theodore and Walter Szkutak. He was born in Dudley, son of the late Joseph and Bernice (Capiga) Szkutak and has lived in Millbury since 1952.
Mr. Szkutak was an industrial engineer with Cincinnati Milacron Company/ Heald Division, for 33 years, retiring in 1988. He served in the Army during WW II with the 31st Infantry in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and with the occupation forces in Seoul, Korea. Mr. Szkutak was an avid golfer and enjoyed sports and traveling.
His funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 28th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan 27th in the funeral home.
