SUTTON- Eileen B. (Barnett) Botty, 79, of West Sutton, died peacefully at home on Thursday, Dec. 13th after an illness.
Her former husband, Kenneth J. Botty died in 2000. She leaves a son, John T. Botty and his wife, Katherine of Pelham, NH and a daughter, Carol J. Botty and her partner, Martin Linder of Sutton; her beloved granddaughter, Mikaela J. Linder of Sutton. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents Frederick and Edith H. (Taylor) Barnett, two brothers, Frederick Barnett Jr. and Richard Barnett and a sister, Ina Frances Barnett and a half sister, June Gilmore.
Mrs. Botty graduated from Centenary College in New Jersey and Clark University in Worcester. She was a Social Worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 10 years, retiring in 1985. Previously she worked as a Title I reading teacher in the Millbury and Worcester Public Schools and she also worked as a buyer for FileneTM)s in Worcester and Boston. She was a Past President of the Millbury WomanTM)s Club and was a former member of the Sutton Garden Club.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19th in the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston, Rd., on the Common, Sutton. EileenTM)s family will receive relatives and friends, at the church, from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in West Sutton Cemetery, Sutton.
