MILLBURY - Elaine R. (LaPrade) Carpenter, 71, passed on Friday, Oct. 7th at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
Her husband David D. Carpenter Sr. passed in 2011. She leaves three sons, David Carpenter Jr. and his wife, Susan of Maine, John Carpenter and his wife, Marie of North Oxford, Craig Carpenter and his wife, Cristin of Oxford and Harold F. Proodian of Millbury, who she considered a son; her fiancAC.e, David Paul Lauzon, with whom she lived; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Aline Douillette of Auburn; nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Paul F. and Eleanor (Durant) LaPrade.
Elaine was a soft spoken loving and caring wife, mother and friend. On any given day, she could be found sitting at her kitchen table, her dog Molly by her side, listening to country music while crocheting a new baby blanket, hat or mittens. These simple gifts, her acts of love, touched so many people throughout her life. To many, she was an angel. She will be missed.
Service and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main St. in Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements.
