MILLBURY – Elaine M. (Jette) Roy, 83, died Friday, Jan. 14th in the Millbury Health Care Center.
She leaves her husband of 63 years, Chester R. Roy; a son, Robert and his wife Barbara Roy of Millbury; four grandchildren, Eric, Amy, Christine and Adam; two great grandchildren; Elizabeth and Jessika; a sister, Claudette and her husband Edward Cleary of Colchester, VT; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Alphonse and Dora (Dupuis) Jette and has lived in Millbury since 1957. She is predeceased by a sister, Claire Mazza.
Elaine was employed by the Millbury School Department as a cook manager for 32 years, before she retired. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of the Millbury Health Care Center for their care and compassion. Elaine will be remembered for the love she had for her husband, her family and friends.
A Memorial Funeral Mass for Mrs. Roy will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19th in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be private in Central Cemetery in Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements.
