Eleanor (DeCataldo) Campaniello, 86, passed away Tuesday, October 7th in UMASS Memorial Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.
Eleanor's husband Matteo Campaniello died in 2003. She leaves a daughter, Ellen Sue Brewer of Sutton; three sons, John Campaniello and daughter-in-law, Kathy Pruitt of Oxford, Matthew Campaniello and his wife, Christine of Worcester and Mark Campaniello and his wife, Deborah of Stratford, CT; a son-in-law, Earl Jordan; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Cosimo and Pasqualina DeCataldo; a daughter, Joan Jordan; one brother, Salvatore DeCataldo and three sisters, Carole Gigliotti, Madeline Aversano and Mary Wagner.
Eleanor worked for many years at Coca Cola and Jeffco Fibers. She loved taking trips with friends to Foxwoods. Most of all Eleanor loved spending time with family and friends.
Eleanor's funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11th with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel- St. Ann, 24 Mulberry Street in Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester.
There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
