GRAFTON - Emile J. Elie, 69 of 14 Beverly Road, North Grafton, formerly of Millbury and Worcester, died Saturday, April 19, in Northbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Northbridge.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Carol A. (Pepin) Elie; a son, Marc J. Elie of Sutton; a daughter, Debra A. Szklarz of Worcester; a brother, Gilles Elie of Sebastian, Florida; two sisters, Cecile Lussier of Auburn and Germaine Belanger of Webster; three grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Quebec, Canada, son of Wilfred and Ida (Spooner) Elie and lived in Millbury, before moving to North Grafton 25 years ago.
Mr. Elie was a carpentry teacher at Keefe Technical High School in Framingham for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was an Army veteran.
He was a member of St. MaryTM)s Church and a former member of St. BrigidTM)s Church in Millbury. He was an usher at many of Father DiOrioTM)s services. He enjoyed clock making, travel and playing pool.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 22 from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury (

) with a Mass at 12:30 p.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, North Grafton. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 21, in the funeral home.
