MILLBURY Erin E. OTM)Donnell, 23, of 3 Brenda Dr., died Wednesday, Nov. 8th in Tufts-New England Medical Center, Boston, after a long illness.
She leaves her parents, John J. and Karen K. (Pojani) OTM)Donnell; a brother, Ryan C. OTM)Donnell of Millbury; her maternal grandparents, Christie L. and Ellen I. (Dow) Pojani of Davenport, FL; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy M. (McNutt) Perks of Holden; her boyfriend, Joe Topor of Worcester; aunt, uncles, cousins and friends.
Erin graduated from Millbury Memorial High School in 2001 and then graduated from Dean College in 2003 with Associates Degree in Early Education. She was continuing toward her BachelorTM)s Degree at Worcester State College. While at Dean College she played on the WomenTM)s Basketball team that went on to win the 2001/2002 WomenTM)s Basketball Division II Northeast Regional Championship. Erin was a loyal friend to many and inspired us all by her courageous fight. She faced two bone marrow transplants and never gave up.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13th, in the First Congregational Church, West Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in West Millbury Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12th, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care, Neely House at T-NEMC, 750 Washington St., Box 0716, Boston, MA 02111.
