MILLBURY Ernest J. Fjellman, 79, of 319 West Main St., died Thursday, Nov. 9th in Kindred Hospital Parkview, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Maxine. B. (Bengtson) Fjellman; five children, Susan wife of Richard Harrington of West Millbury, Sandra wife of Paul Smith of Florida, Craig Fjellman of West Millbury, Carl E. and his wife Deborah Fjellman of West Millbury and Sally wife of Edward Glavin of New Hampshire; eight grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Carl E. and Flora (Robidoux) Fjellman, his brother, Edwin Fjellman and his sister, Doris Gardner.
While serving in the US Navy he attended Purdue University, studying to become an electrician. While in the Navy during WW II he also served in the South Pacific. Ernest worked as a milkman for 25 years while continuing to work on his family farm, retiring in 1986. Ernest was a gentle and loving man throughout his life.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14th, in the First Congregational Church, West Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in West Millbury Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13th, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury.
