Eugene D. Lavallee passed away at home Sunday, February 28, 2016 lovingly surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara (Lucas) Lavallee; his four sons, Mark D. Lavallee and his wife Natalie of Northbridge, David J. Lavallee and his wife Margaret of Hebron, CT, Brian F. Lavallee and his wife Lisa of Northbridge, and Matthew G. Lavallee and his wife Linda of South Hadley, MA; 11 grandchildren, Erica, Alex, Casey, Carly, Brenden, Mary, Sarah, Logan, Norah, Olivia, and Morgan; a sister Joyce Lafortune, of Dunnellon, FL, a brother, Roger Lavallee of Millbury. He was predeceased by his parents, Adelard J. and Oliva (Dumais) Lavallee; a brother, J. Richard Lavallee.

Mr. Lavallee, also known as Pepé to his grandchildren and "Geno" to his friends, was a life-long resident of Millbury. He was a graduate of Millbury High School, Class of 1960. Mr. Lavallee worked at Mass Electric Company for 29 years. He was passionate about his family, trips to Maine with friends and playing golf with his sons and grandchildren. He drew great strength from his wife Barbara, as well as his four sons and their families. Mr. Lavallee was an avid amateur radio operator. He enjoyed building amateur radios and computers.

His funeral will be held Monday, March 7th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of The Assumption Church, 10 Waters St. Millbury. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 6th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to one of the following: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, Dana Farber Cancer Institute; PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284, Central MA Hospice; 191 Pakachoag St, Auburn, MA 01501.
