MILLBURY Eva E. (Newton) Cournoyer, 73, of 340 May St., Worcester, formerly of Millbury, died Friday, Dec. 30th at a daughterTM)s home in Leicester, after an illness.
Her husband, Leonard J. Cournoyer Sr. died in 1986. She leaves four daughters, Linda M. Gadoury of Dudley, Sharon A. Bernier and Mary E. Murphy both of Leicester and Sheila D. Saksa of Worcester; two sons, Maurice D. Cournoyer of Worcester and Leonard J. Cournoyer Jr. of Ware; two sisters, Betty Gay of St. MaryTM)s, GA and Bonnie Newton of Kentucky; two brothers, Ronnie Newton and Otto Flowers, both of Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by other brothers and sisters and she was born in Kentucky, daughter of John and Mary E. (Purcell) Newton.
Mrs. Cournoyer was a secretary at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester, before she retired.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 4th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3rd, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Massachusetts, 5 Mountain Road, P.O. Box 265, Burlington, MA 01803-0465.
