Eva Higginson

June 28, 1924 — February 14, 2009

AUBURN – Eva M. (Sharp) Higginson, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 14th in the Masonic Home in Charlton.
Her husband, Arnold B. Higginson died in 1983. She leaves a daughter, Ruth A. Robertson and her husband, Dr. Michael S. Robertson of Lynchburg, VA; a son, Joel Higginson of Arlington; 6 grandchildren, Caitlin, Adrienne, Devin, and James Robertson of Lynchburg, VA, and Lauren and Michelle Higginson of Stoneham, MA; two sisters, Florence Powers of Millbury and Ruth Downs of Worcester; nephews and nieces, and former daughter-in-law Lena Higginson. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret (Bottomley) Sharp and a son, Arnold Higginson.
Eva was a secretary at Auburn High School from 1970 to 1989, when she retired. She was a member of the Millbury Federated Church, the Millbury Sutton Church Woman United, the Bancroft Chapter of AARP and the Retired State, County and Municipal Association.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18th in the First Congregational Church, West Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Auburn. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17th in Mulhane Home for Funeral, 45 Main St. in Millbury.
