Evelyn M. Shepley

MILLBURY – Evelyn M. (Collette) Shepley, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18th in St. Vincent Hospital.

Evelyn leaves her grandchildren, Melody Thompson and her husband, Timothy of Sutton, Kerry George and her husband, Shane of Millbury, Aaron Gauthier and his wife, Kathleen of Spencer and Rachael Shepley of Millbury, Heather Laythe and her spouse, Nelson Miles of Blackstone and Christopher Laythe and his wife, Amy Beth of Worcester; great grandchildren, Madeleine and Brendan Thompson. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Shepley; her children, Steven Shepley, Donna Gauthier and Robin Shepley; her parents, Helen and Albert Collette; her sisters, Beverly Sheehan and Shirly Huchowski and her brother, Albert Collette. 

Evelyn worked at Goretti’s Supermarket in Millbury for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, going on Millbury Senior Center trips with her many friends and earlier in her life going camping at Wildwood Campground in New Hampshire. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Family and friends are invited to remember Evelyn’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Tuesday, July 23rd from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 24th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
