WORCESTER Evelyn A. (Girard) Street, 75, formerly of Fairfield St., and of Sutton, died Friday, May 28th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
She leaves a son, Ronald A. George of Worcester; a daughter, Kathleen C. George of Plymouth; an aunt, Margaret Tamutis of Cherry Valley; three cousins, Shelia Breault, Gloria Stewart and Carolyn Benscoter. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Levi and Agnes (Hall) Girard. She was raised in Sutton.
Mrs. Street worked at the former Memorial Hospital and then was a clerk for the City of Worcester, where she had worked many years in the Veterans Department, before she retired. She was a member of the United Congregational Church, the MotherTM)s Club of the Dix Street School and was also a Girl Scout and Brownie leader at the school. She was a Ted Williams and a Red Sox fan.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2nd in the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd., Sutton. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester.
