MILLBURY – Florence H. (Dusak) Bluyus, 96, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2012 in St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Worcester.
Her husband, Albert J. Bluyus died 1991. She leaves a daughter, Dorothy F. Yankowsky, a granddaughter Sheila A. wife of Mark R. Chabot, with whom she lived, a great grandson, Colin J. Chabot all of Millbury; several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Tofilia (Sarlok) Dusak, her son-in-law, Joseph E. Yankowsky, who died in 1981 and all of her sisters and brothers.
Florence worked at St. Vincent Hospital at 25 Winthrop St. in Worcester in the housekeeping department, retiring in 1978. Her family would like to thank everyone who cared for Florence on the third floor of St. Francis Home.
Florence's funeral will be held Thursday, Aug. 30th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, prior to the funeral in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Memorial contribution may be made to the Activity Funds of St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 101 Plantation St. Worcester, MA 01604.
