Florence James

Florence M. James, Millbury's oldest resident, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2nd at the age of 104.

Florence was an avid reader and kept up with current events. In past years she did considerable crocheting. She was noted for her remarkable memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward (1975) and her daughter, Carol Santa Maria, who passed in 2013.

Surviving are Florence's sons: Robert and his wife, Linda of Holland, OH, Richard and his wife, Kathy of Sequim, WA and Ronald and his wife, Kathy of Del Mar, CA. She had eight grandchildren: Michele, Jacqueline, Jeanette, Frank, Christopher, Renee, Marcia and Celeste. Florence had twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild: Ella, Mackenzie, Audrey, Connor, Matthew, Clayton, Abigail, Emily, Brynn, Taylor, Ashley, Ethan and Jayden.

Florence's Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 12 Waters Street in Millbury. Burial will following at Central Cemetery in Millbury. There are no calling hours.
