Florence Paine

November 21, 1913 — March 14, 2006

MILLBURY- Florence I. (Lee) Paine, 92, of 287 West Main St., died Tuesday, March 14th in Beaumont at Northborough.

She is predeceased by her husband Allan H. Paine. She leaves three nieces, Linda E. Carig of Sandwich, Janet M. Parker and Nancy Luby of Millbury; five nephews, Raymond and Robert E. Lee of Millbury, Paul Aubrey of Shrewsbury, Richard E. Lee of West Brookfield, and Thomas M. Lee of Douglas; a sister-in-law, Bertha Lee of Millbury and a brother-in-law, Marcus Paine Jr. of Ware. She was born is Millbury and predeceased by her parents Maynard and Ida (Robinson) Lee; two brothers, Robert E. Lee Sr. and Earl Lee and a nephew David A. Lee. She graduated from Millbury High School in 1931 and Worcester TeacherTM)s College in 1934.

Mrs. Paine was an inspector for the War Department before spending many years as a credit manager at Filenes Department Store. Previously was a substitute teacher. She enjoyed her cats and traveling to Nova Scotia to visit family. She was also a member of the First Congregational Church in Millbury a member of the West Millbury Union Chapel and also delivered Meals on Wheels for the Council on Aging in Millbury.

Her Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 17th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, March 17th before the funeral, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Millbury Historical Society, 123 Elm St., Millbury MA.
