Heaven gained a new angel today with the passing of Frances E. (Lueras) Bachant, age 97 at Countryside Health Center in Milford MA after a period of declining health.
Frances was born in Lafayette, CO on January 8th, 1927 and moved to Massachusetts at an early age. Formerly of Millbury, her final years were spent living in an in-law apartment at her daughter Cheryl’s house in Uxbridge until at the age of 94, she then moved into The Residences of Whitcomb House in Milford.
She is pre-deceased by her mother Mabel (Nace) Lueras Pechnick, father David C. Lueras, her loving husband, Leo P. Bachant, her beloved sons Henry Anyon and Roger Anyon, great granddaughter, Amanda Stokowski and son-in-law John Trask of Worcester and her dear cat Isabelle.
Frances leaves daughters Elaine Trask of Worcester, Ann Miller, wife of Larry of Oxford and Cheryl Long, wife of Arthur of Uxbridge and son Jeffrey Anyon of Worcester, as well as 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, and extended family.
Frances was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, to the Charles F. Minney Post #3329 in Millbury as well as being a former member of the Millbury Democratic Town Committee.
Mom dedicated her life and love to her family and friends and gave all that she could give. Her guidance and her presence will be sorely missed. Eternal to her memory. Her hobbies included working in her gardens and was an avid reader right up to the end. And we can’t forget she loved to shop! Always willing to get in the car at a moments notice.
The family would like to thank her medical team at Summit Eldercare in Worcester, especially, Dr. Savant, Nicole, Sarah, Bernadette, Lynn, and everyone who helped her along the way. We’d also like to thank the staff at Countryside Health Center for their compassion and empathy during her last few weeks there.
We will miss you mom, we all love you dearly – now fly amongst the angels!!
Family and friends will honor and remember Frances’ life by gathering for a time of visitation on Thursday, June 6th from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 7th at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street, Worcester with burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
