AUBURN- Francis W. Aspinall Jr., 78, of 39 Windbrook Dr., died Friday, March 28, in his home, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Lillian J. (Beique) Peltier Aspinall; a son, Scott M. Aspinall of Worcester; five daughters, Sandra M. Blanchette and Cheryl A. Courtemanche both of Dudley, Lori J. Aspinall of Quincy, Lynn A. Dolson of Northbridge and Susan A. Svedberg of Brookfield; two sisters, Claire A. Aspinall and Shirley E. Aspinall both of Worcester; nine grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, son of Francis M. Aspinall Sr. and Angelina M. (Brunell) Aspinall and lived in South Grafton before moving to Auburn ten years ago.
Mr. Aspinall worked in the Sanitation department for the City of Worcester for 15 years, retiring in 1990. During this time he also worked at the Federal Parking Garage in Worcester for 26 years. He previously worked at the former Phiffer Shoe in Worcester. He was an Army veteran during WW II serving in England, France, Belgium and Germany.
He was a member and volunteer at the Auburn Senior Center. He enjoyed crossword puzzles.
A graveside service will be private in Fairview Cemetery, South Grafton. Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 30 in the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury (
