BELCHERTOWN / MILLBURY – Francis E. Finney, 95, died Saturday, April 4th in the Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer.
His wife, Rita M. (Fink) Beauregard Finney died in 1995 and his first wife, Margaret E. (Ruddy) Finney died in 1966. He leaves a daughter, Janice E. wife of Walter Pilet of Belchertown and a son, Paul E. Finney and his wife, Dorothy of Princeton; a step-son, James M. Beauregard and his wife, Paula of Sutton and a step-daughter, Ann Beauregard of Belchertown; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, and is predeceased by his parents, Frank E. and Margaret (McGrath) Finney, three brothers, Edward, Ernest and Walter Finney and four sisters, Ruth Lavallee, Mary Moran, Bertha and Grace Finney.
Mr. Finney worked at Brierly Lombard Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1976. He was an Army veteran during WW II. He was a co-founder of the Millbury Little League and he was a former member of the Millbury Planning Board.
His funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8th in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
