MILLBURY – Francis Winthrop Lowe, 88, died Tuesday, April 6th.

His wife Virginia L. (Richardson) Lowe died in 2000. He leaves five sons, F. David Lowe of Milford, Kenneth A. Lowe and his wife, Dianne of Townsend, Steven F. Lowe of Worcester, Peter C. Lowe and his wife, Susan of Attleboro and Thomas W. Lowe and his wife, Gabriela of South Boston; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Emeline Hogue of Maine.

Mr. Lowe was a manager for Mass Electric in Westborough for 46 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. He was an active member of the Millbury Federated Church and was a member of the Olive Branch Lodge of Masons in Millbury. He was a former president and member of the Greendale Retired Men's Club. He was an avid sports fan and was actively involved in the Boy Scout Program.

His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10th in the Millbury Federated Church, 20 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 9th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance, Development Office, 333 South St., Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
